The roots of the 80-year history of the former farmhouse can still be felt by today's guests. It's not about excluding progress, but rather about lovingly continuing the traditions of the region. Because only those who are aware of their past can create a future in the present that honours history and makes history itself.

ONCE UPON A TIME...
"Kesselgrub's Ferienwelt" has its origins in the 19th century as a former agricultural property owned by Christian Steiner. The grandfather, Rupert Thurner, acquired the agricultural estate in Altenmarkt in 1922 and transformed it into a small inn with a few guest rooms. For three generations, Kesselgrub has been a catering and accommodation business under the name of Thurner.
Since 1997, the establishment has been under the leadership and ownership of my husband, Johann Rupert Thurner Junior. In the year 2000, I became the assistant to the management, a role that presented me with significant challenges but was also carried out with great joy. We have continuously developed our business, and Kesselgrub's Ferienwelt now includes several properties: Kesselgrub's Family Hotel, Kesselgrub's Country House, Kesselgrub's Holiday House, Kesselgrub's Holiday Apartments, and Kesselgrub's Feel-Well Apartments.
